Description
Rhubarb
Fresh rhubarb is locally grown and harvested for its firm texture, vibrant red to green stalks, and distinctive tart flavor. Rhubarb is a seasonal favorite widely used in baking, preserves, and traditional recipes. Stalk thickness and color may vary depending on variety and growing conditions.
Rhubarb is sold by the bundle. Each bundle contains multiple trimmed stalks grouped together for convenient handling and sale. Absentee bids are placed per bundle unless otherwise noted.
Common Culinary Uses:
Rhubarb is most commonly used in pies, crisps, cobblers, sauces, jams, and jellies. Its tart flavor pairs well with sweet ingredients such as strawberries, sugar, and honey. Rhubarb can also be frozen for later use or cooked down into syrups and preserves.
